Assessment of Greenhouse Gases Emission in Maize-Wheat Cropping System Under Varied N Fertilizer Application Using Cool Farm Tool

چکیده

In recent decades, climate change induced by enhanced global warming is one of the biggest challenges at level. Agriculture sectors significantly contribute to total anthropogenic greenhouse gas emission atmosphere. Wheat and maize, cultivated globally, consumed in different forms, are considered as crucial staple cereal for ensuring food security population. The management practices involving land preparation, sowing, fertilizer application, irrigation, pest management, etc. influence carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) nitrous oxide (N O) from agricultural soil. this study, CO N O were assessed maize wheat crops four levels using cool farm tool model. Emissions per hectare varied 331.4 1,088.3 kgCO ranged 292.3 765.3 on application doses N. GHG 859.5 3,003.4 eq with nitrogen varying (0–240 kg hectare). highest efflux (0.368 ton) was observed 240 under crop. on-farm emissions, through production, account about 33.7%, contributes only 65.9%, whereas pesticides merely 0.4% maize-wheat cropping. This study confirms that direct totally dependent fertilizers rate; however, indirect controlled fuels energy consumption.

Integrative impacts of soil tillage on crop yield, N use efficiency and greenhouse gas emission in wheat-corn cropping system

Wheat-corn cropping system is one of the most important grain production systems in theworld. However, the integrative impacts of soil tillage on crop yield, N use efficiency (NUE)and greenhouse gases (GHGS) emissions are not well documented in this system. Thus, a twoyear field experiment was carried out in a typical wheat-corn cropping system with four tillageregimes during the wheat season, ...

Response of nitric and nitrous oxide fluxes to N fertilizer application in greenhouse vegetable cropping systems in southeast China

It is of great concern worldwide that active nitrogenous gases in the global nitrogen cycle contribute to regional and global-scale environmental issues. Nitrous oxide (N2O) and nitric oxide (NO) are generally interrelated in soil nitrogen biogeochemical cycles, while few studies have simultaneously examined these two gases emission from typical croplands. Field experiments were conducted to me...

Greenhouse Gas Flux and Crop Productivity after 10 Years of Reduced and No Tillage in a Wheat-Maize Cropping System

Appropriate tillage plays an important role in mitigating the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) in regions with higher crop yields, but the emission situations of some reduced tillage systems such as subsoiling, harrow tillage and rotary tillage are not comprehensively studied. The objective of this study was to evaluate the emission characteristics of GHG (CH4 and N2O) under four reduced til...

Nitrogen Fertilizer Management in Dryland Wheat Cropping Systems

Wheat is the most widely cultivated food crop in the world, which provides nutrition to most of the world population and is well adapted to a wide range of environmental conditions. Timely and efficient rates of nitrogen (N) application are vital for increasing wheat grain yield and protein content, and maintaining environmental sustainability. The goal of this study was to investigate the effe...

uncertainty of annual maximum daily rainfall under greenhouse gases emission scenarios in 2040: khorasan-razavi province

nowadays, increasing of greenhouse gases emissionscussed by human activities is the main factor of climate change. global warming has also changed the frequency of extreme rainfall events in many areas. this research presents an analysis of how the change in the frequency of maximum daily rainfall under three emission scenarios in 2021-2040 periods in the khorasan-razavi province. the maximum d...
